Biography
Born April 1, 1921 at the station Raevka (Ufa district, Bashkir Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic) in the family of the commissar of the railway section, in the same year he moved with his parents to a village. Kochetovka Oboyansk district (now Ivnyansky district of the Belgorod region), and then in the city of Valuyki (since 1954 the regional center of the Belgorod region). His father, Julius Geranimovich Weingold, built the Valuyki-Balashov-Penza railway, in 1937 he was accused of spying for Germany and Poland and arrested, he was sentenced to VMN .
In 1938, Yu. Weingold graduated from secondary school No. 22 in Novosibirsk. He began his career at 16, first as a loader, then as a senior counselor in a boarding school, and at the same time he began to teach mathematics ... Then he entered the All-Union Correspondence Law Institute (Moscow).
In 1939, he was drafted into the Soviet-Finnish war by a sniper, as he had the honorary title and badge "Voroshilovsky shooter." In 1941, he was sent to study at the Military Electrotechnical Academy named after S. M. Budyonny in Leningrad. The Great Patriotic War passed from the first to the last days: the commander of the special unit for air surveillance, warning and communications on the Leningrad, Volkhov, Karelian, and First Far Eastern fronts. Three times wounded, twice shell-shocked, received a disability. He was awarded orders and medals.
In 1950 he graduated from the All-Union Correspondence Law Institute, graduate school in 1960.
From 1950 to 1976 he worked at the Kyrgyz State University (until 1956 he combined with work in the Frunze branches of the Moscow Library and Correspondence Financial and Economic Institutions).
Since 1976 he worked at the Belgorod Technological Institute of Building Materials (in 1994-2003 - the Belgorod State Technological Academy of Building Materials, since 2003 - the Belgorod State Technological University named after V. G. Shukhov).
In 1976 he became the first head of the Department of Philosophy, which he headed for 30 years. Then he worked as a professor in the department of theory and methodology of science.
Professional and scientific activities
Candidate dissertation "Law as a sociological category" (1963). Doctoral dissertation "On the Soviet experience of the passing of capitalism and its subjective factor (Analysis of the transition of the peoples of Central Asia and Kazakhstan from pre-capitalist relations to socialism as a consequence of their social-volitional efforts)" (1972).
The author of 11 monographs, 20 books, over 22 articles and 25 brochures and study guides, with his direct participation 66 applicants defended their candidate and 27 doctoral dissertations, three of them became corresponding members of the National Academies of Sciences, one - vice-president of the Academy of Sciences of Mongolia.

November 1, 2017 at the BSTU named after V. G. Shukhov opened a memorial plaque in memory of Yuri Weingold, who for a long time headed the department of philosophy of the university [7] [8] [9] [1] .
