Biography
Miloslav Harouzd was born on August 15, 1928 in Prague.
He began his hockey career in 1941, playing for the junior teams of the glorious club “ LTC Prague ”. At 18, he moved to another Prague club Podoli, in 1948 he returned to the LTC, with whom he became the champion of Czechoslovakia in 1949.
After the disbandment of the LTC in 1950, Harouzd played for the Tatra Smikhov team for 2 years, played the next 2 seasons for ATK Prague, in 1954 he moved to the Prague Sparta , in which he completed his hockey career in 1961.
From 1949 to 1955, Harouzd played for the Czechoslovak national hockey team . In 1949 he won the World and European Championships.
In addition to hockey, Harouzd also played soccer for the Bohemians in Prague as a midfielder in the 1940s.
After the end of his playing career, he became a sports commentator, wrote articles for the football and hockey weekly "Goal".
He died on June 25, 2001 in Prague, at the age of 72 years.
May 6, 2010 was posthumously admitted to the Czech Hockey Hall of Fame.
