Přemysl Hainy ( czech. Přemysl Hainý ; December 18, 1925 , Prague - October 25, 1993 ) - a Czechoslovak hockey player , defender, speaking for the LTC Prague team and the national team of Czechoslovakia . World and European champion in 1947 and 1949, silver medalist of the Winter Olympics in St. Moritz .

Biography
Přemysl Gainy was born on December 18, 1925 in Prague.
He started his hockey career in 1943, in the Slavia Prague team, in 1946 he moved to the glorious club LTC Prague , with which he became the champion of the Czechoslovak Hockey League 3 times in a row. In 1949 he moved to another Prague club, ATK, which also won the Czechoslovak championship in the first season.
From 1947 to 1949, Haina played for the national hockey team of Czechoslovakia . In 1948, he became the silver medalist of the Winter Olympics in St. Moritz . In 1947 and 1949, he won the World and European Championships. Total for the national team of Czechoslovakia spent 27 games, scoring 7 goals [1] .
Gaina in the Czechoslovak national team was supposed to defend the champion's title at the 1950 World Championships in the UK , but after the government decided not to take part in it at the last moment (the reason for this was the refusal of a British visa to the reporters of the Czechoslovak radio) right in the restaurant, where they gathered to discuss this event and, according to the investigation, they conducted anti-government conversations and shouted anti-communist slogans [2] .
Premysl Gaina, along with 10 more hockey players of the Czechoslovak national team, were arrested and sentenced to 1 year imprisonment [3] . In 1951, he was released and continued his hockey career. He played for the teams “ Kladno ”, “Tatra Smichov”, “Ruzyne Prague”, finished his career in 1962.
After the end of his playing career, he coached the teams Ruzyne Prague, Sparta Prague , Servette Geneva , Den Haag, Olimpia Ljubljana . In 1976 he coached the national team of Yugoslavia at the Olympic Games in Innsbruck .
He died on October 25, 1993, at the age of 67.
