General elections in Sierra Leone were held on March 14, 2002 to elect the president and parliament. As a result, both the parliamentary and presidential elections were won by the People’s Party of Sierra Leone , whose leader Ahmad Tejan Kabba was re-elected president. More than 2 million voters were registered.
