Content
History
It was founded in 1987 by the people's artist of the USSR Ilya Sergeyevich Glazunov . Active educational activities Ilya Glazunov began at the Moscow State Art Institute . Surikov , in which he headed the portrait workshop. Since June 10, 2009 it bears the name of I. S. Glazunov [1] . The Academy is located in several buildings in the center of Moscow, in particular in the "Yushkov House" built by the architect V. Bazhenov in the 18th century, as well as in the famous "House of Writing Cooperative" in Kamergersky Lane .
The Ural branch of the Russian Academy of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture Ilya Glazunov, opened in Perm, was founded more than 15 years ago. Since 2003, the Ural branch of the Academy has been headed by a graduate of his painting department, member of the Union of Artists, artist Maxim Vladislavovich Kayetkin.
Over the 20 years of the Academy's existence, such prominent figures of modern art culture as professors Pyotr Litvinsky and Alexander Trofimov worked in its walls.
At different times, the Academy was taught by famous contemporary artists: Oleg Shtykhno , Dmitry Slepushkin , Anatoly Bichukov , Victor Shilov , Alexander Shilov , Salavat Shcherbakov , Mikhail Shankov , Leyla Khasyanova , Vladimir Shtein and others.
The faculties of the Academy (painting, restoration, sculpture, art history, architecture) have preparatory courses.
According to the Decree of the Government of the Russian Federation of January 18, 2014, the rector of the university is appointed by the Government of the Russian Federation [2] .
