Biography

Vladimir Kigos began his career at the Litvinov club. In 1974 he made his debut in the championship of Czechoslovakia for the main team. He played 10 seasons for his native club. In 1987 he went abroad, spent 4 seasons in Finland. He ended his career in 1991. The most important success of his career was the silver medal of the 1984 Olympic Games in Sarajevo as part of the Czechoslovak team . After the end of his playing career, he became a coach. He was the head coach of many clubs in the Czech Extra League . He achieved the greatest success in his coaching career with the Comet Brno team, with whom he twice won the Czech championship: in 2014, silver, in 2015 bronze.
