The 17th Canada Women's Curling Championship 1977 ( English 1977 Macdonald Lassies Championship ) was held in Halifax (Nova Scotia) from February 27 to March 4, 1977 . The championship was held for the second time in Nova Scotia, and the second time in Halifax. [1] [2] [3] [4]

The tournament was attended by 11 teams representing the provinces and territories of Canada .
The champion (the 3rd time in the history of the championships) was the team representing the province of Alberta (for the team led by skip Myrna McQuarrie, this was the 1st victory in the championships). Silver medals were won by the team representing the province of Ontario (Nini Mutch skip), bronze medals were won by the team representing the province of Ontario (Heather Kerr skip).
For the first time, a team representing the Northwest Territories and the Yukon Territory participated in the championship.
