History of the Manor
Manor Aa was supposedly founded in the 15th century as a service manor of the Vogt of the Narva Monastic Order [1] [2] .
In 1630, the Swedish king Gustav II Adolf donated the Aall of Tallinn to the ratman and burgomaster Georg von Wangersheim [1] [2] .

During the Northern War, the main building (manor house) of the manor burned in 1700 and 1703 , in the 1720-1730s it was restored on the remains of old walls. In 1787, the manor passed into the possession of the noble family of von Nasakin , followed by the reconstruction of the main building. [2] [3]
From 1889 until the alienation in 1919, the manor belonged to the noble family of Grunewaldt [2] .
Main Building
The Wangersheim family erected in 1696 - 1698 a two-story main building of the Baroque manor, which has been reconstructed to this day. The building was reconstructed in the 1780s according to the design of the architect Christian Gottlieb Walther . During the reconstruction, two one-story wings were added to it and the whole building was given the style of early classicism . [2]
The plastered building has a hip roof and a high basement . On the front facade there are two risalits , between them there is a large wooden porch in the historicism style with a rich lace pattern of wood and a gable roof ; on the rear facade is a highly prominent central risalit. The walls of the building are covered with pilasters , a profiled cornice under the canopy of the roof, a wide volute pediment decorated with a weather vane and vases above the entrance to the house. Due to major overhauls and major repairs, the interior of the main building has retained very few original details. [one]
Since 1924, a care house has been operating in the building. In 1977 - 1981, in the manor park to the west of the main building, a new three-story building for the care house was erected, which is connected by the gallery to the old building [1] .
Manor complex
There is a direct 900-meter road from the Tallinn - Narva highway to the center of the manor’s manor house; auxiliary buildings - a barn and a stable , a manager's house and workers ' houses - are located southwest of it. In their best times, they constituted a separate stylish complex in which various buildings were concentrated around a spacious courtyard . Currently, most of these buildings are either rebuilt or are in ruins . The octagonal park gazebo in the early classicism style with a domed roof, which is currently rebuilt into a chapel , has been preserved and restored. Further to the west of the main building there is a barn - a grain dryer , and in the western part of the oblong pond - a vodka factory (in ruins ). The rebuilt manor ovine is located 400 meters northeast of the main building. At 800 kilometers east of the heart of the manor, on a small hill, stands a windmill . [2]
Eleven objects of the manor complex are entered in the State Register of Cultural Monuments of Estonia:
