Biography
Darius Rusnak began his career at Slovan Bratislava . From 1977 he played in the championship of Czechoslovakia for the main team, in which he became the champion of Czechoslovakia in 1979. In 1987 he joined the army team " Dukla Jihlava ". A year later he returned to Slovan. In 1989, he moved abroad to the Finnish club KalPa Kuopio , which he played for 4 seasons. In 1993 he completed his career.
Immediately after the end of his playing career, he switched to coaching, becoming an assistant to the head coach of Bratislava Slovan, held this position for two years. He currently works in the Slovak Ice Hockey Union.
From 1980 to 1988, he played for the Czechoslovak national team . He was a multiple winner of the Olympic Games and World Championships . The most important success in his career was the gold medal of the World Cup in 1985 , held in Czechoslovakia. He was the captain of the Czechoslovak national team in this tournament.
