Biography
Magomet Shabazovich Kuchukov was born on October 19, 1919 in the village of Zylgi ( Upper Balkaria ). In 1935-1940, he studied at the acting department of the Lunacharsky Institute of Theater Arts (course of Professor I. Sudakov ) as part of the first Balkar studio.
In 1940 he returned from Moscow to Nalchik , where he played in the Balkar Drama Theater .
He performed military service in the ranks of the Red Army in the Baltic when the war began. He participated in the Great Patriotic War , which he graduated with the rank of captain. He fought on the North-Western Front, near Staraya Russa and Ramushev, participated in the liberation of Ukraine, twice crossed the Dnieper, took the cities of Cherkasy by storm. He fought in Belarus, liberated Bobruisk, Slutsk, Korsun-Shevchenkovsky, Uman. He participated in the battles of the defeat of the German East Prussian group and in the final battles in Berlin and Prague. For a long time he was an adjutant to the commander of the 254th Infantry Division of the USSR Marshal P.F. Batitsky . He was wounded and shell-shocked three times.
After demobilization from 1948 to 1956 in connection with the deportation of the Balkarian people, he lived in the Ivanovo district of the Frunze region of the Kyrgyz SSR. After returning from deportation to his homeland in 1957 he returned to the theater, where he played more than 90 roles.
He died on October 12, 2006.
