A constitutional referendum in Grenada was held on November 6, 2018 [1] . A constitutional amendment put forward for a referendum made the Caribbean Court of Appeal the final court in lieu of the Judicial Committee of the Privy Council of the United Kingdom and renamed the Supreme Court. [2] A similar amendment was already put forward in the 2016 referendum when it was rejected [3] .
On the same day, a similar referendum was held in Antigua and Barbuda .
As a result of the vote, the amendment was rejected both in Antigua and in Grenada [1] [4] .

Voters should have answered the following question:
“Do you approve the Bill of Act proposed to amend the Constitution of Grenada (Caribbean Court and the renaming of the Supreme Court) (Amendment) Bill 2018?”

Results
Most voted against the amendment with a turnout of 28%. Grenada’s Prime Minister Keith Mitchell , whose government proposed the Amendment, said he was “disappointed” but “fully accepting the results” [4] .
