Edenbridge

The group was founded in 1998 by keyboard player Arne Stockhammer , performing under the pseudonym Lanvall . Sabina Edelbacher became the lead singer of the group, Kurt Bednarski became the bass player, and Roland Navratil became the drummer. From the very beginning, Edenbridge was strongly influenced by the music of the Nightwish group, and the main theme of the group was heaven, the stars and the gate to heaven. The band members are also fans of Star Trek . Edenbridge album covers are designed by artist Marcus Meyer , who creates the covers for Nightwish.

The band signed a contract with Massacre Records and in 2000 released their debut album Sunrise in Eden , and soon after it - Arcana (2001). During the tour in support of the album, the second guitar player, Andreas Eiblar, joined the band, but at the end of the tour Edenbridge lost the bass player. Bednarski managed to take part in the recording of the album Aphelion , but then left the band. During a break in the activities of the group, Sabina took part in the Beto Vázquez Infinity project along with Tarja Turunen , Candace Knight and Fabio Lyon .

In 2002, the album Aphelion was released, and Fran Bindig was announced as a new bass player. In support of it, the group conducted a joint tour with Sirenia , Trail of Tears and Battlelore . Based on the tour a live album A Livetime in Eden was released.

The next two albums, Grand Design (2006) and compilation The Chronicles of Eden (2007), were last recorded on Massacre Records. Successful touring and great music allowed the band to make a deal with major label Napalm Records . This label released the next two Edenbridge albums - MyEarthDream (2008) and the live album LiveEarthDream (2009).

The new album, called Solitaire , was released in July 2010. ^[2]
