Joseph Ignatievich Surozh (1866—?) - Russian forester .
In 1890, for the composition “Oil as a reserve substance of our trees” (St. Petersburg, 1890), he received a gold medal at the St. Petersburg Forest Institute and the title of scientist arborist of the 1st category [1] .
He was a professor at the Institute of Agriculture and Forestry in New Alexandria in the Department of Forest Use and Forestry Encyclopedia; also taught a course in the department of forest statistics.
