Since 1962, he began his career at the Omsk enterprise p / 86, where he went from assistant master to deputy chief engineer. During this period, he took part and supervised the work on the creation of digital instruments and aircraft diagnostic systems, developed and carried out the preparation and production of high-precision, impact-resistant instruments, applicable in special equipment products.

Since 1978, he worked as deputy director for production and economics at the Peter and Paul Plant of Heavy Engineering. He organized the production of complex and at that time unique complexes of special equipment, actively engaged in improving its tactical and technical characteristics. The result of this work is to obtain 23 patents for inventions. For this work he was awarded the Order of the Badge of Honor.

Since 1986, he worked as Deputy Head of the Main Technical Directorate (GTU), and then - First Deputy Head, Chief Engineer of GTU at the Ministry of Defense Industry of the USSR. With the participation and leadership of A.A. Chursin A flexible automated system for the production of special equipment was developed, for which he was awarded the title of Laureate of the USSR State Prize;

Since 1992, he served as Director General of the ASTEX Defense Companies Company, managing 22 defense enterprises included in the company during the development of new economic relations in the Russian Federation. As a result of this work, most of these enterprises have retained their scientific and production potential and still produce modern special-purpose equipment;

In 1985, A.A. was appropriated by the Higher Attestation Commission of the USSR for a cycle of books and manuals. Chursin academic title of professor without defense of a doctoral dissertation;

In the same period, he dealt with the diversification of production of the defense industry of the USSR, as well as the unification of light and food industries with the defense industry of the USSR;

Since 2007 - worked at the Peoples' Friendship University of Russia as a professor at the Department of Enterprise Economics and Entrepreneurship;

In 2011 - opened the basic department “Applied Economics” of RUDN University and FSUE “TsNIImash” with the support of Roscosmos;

Since 2011 - Head of the Department of Applied Economics, RUDN University and FSUE TsNIImash;

In 2014 - at the initiative of A.A. Chursin Institute of Applied Technical and Economic Research and Expertise (IPTIE RUDN; later - the Institute of Space Technology) was created, which he headed;

Currently A.A. Chursin holds the position of scientific director of the Center for Management of Industries at RUDN University ^[1] ;

During the work of Alexander Chursin at the Peoples' Friendship University of Russia under his leadership, 15 candidates and 3 doctors of economic sciences defended themselves.

Scientific degree

In 1976 he defended his thesis.

In 1989, he defended his thesis for the degree of Doctor of Economic Sciences on the theme "State concept, mechanism for managing scientific and technological progress in the defense industry in the new business environment and production conversion."

Academic title

Since 2002 - professor at the Department of Enterprise Economics and Entrepreneurship at the Academy of Labor and Social Relations. In the same year he created the Department of Foreign Economic Affairs and was elected vice-rector for financial and innovative development of the Academy.

A.A. Chursin is the founder of the scientific school of competitiveness management in high-tech industries, including the rocket and space industry. He is the author of more than 170 publications published in Russia, the USA, and Germany, including 30 monographs (3 of which are from Springer, a foreign publisher) and 23 inventions in the field of instrumentation and rocket science.
