First Lady (television series 2011)

The story begins with the First Lady, whose name is Paloma, in a hurry arrives at the central square of the city, where her husband, President Leonardo Santander, speaks to the citizens. And in a few minutes she becomes a witness of how the assassination attempt against Leonardo takes place, from which neither numerous guards nor the security service could protect him. Paloma is just stony with horror, fearing that she lost her all-powerful husband. And from that moment on, the entire series is a return to the past and memories of how the story of Paloma and Leonardo began.

Paloma is a poor girl from a provincial town. She seems to everyone beautiful, charismatic and smiling. But only relatives know how she hates poverty and the hard work that she has to do. Paloma’s mother, Estrella, convinces her daughter that she needs to come to terms and live an honest life, but Paloma dreams of a beautiful life and wealth. Estrella is bitterly aware that her daughter went to her father, Diablo, who twenty years ago fled to the capital for a beautiful life, leaving his wife and children.

Paloma has a groom, Amauri, an honest and hardworking guy. He is slightly naive and trusting, but sincerely loves Paloma and all her relatives. Senora Estrella treats him like a son. Taking advantage of Amauri’s love, Paloma lures all his accumulations from him and escapes to Bogotá . Her cousin Federico lives in the city, who works at the Odeon Theater. At the same time, she met her colleague Federico Mariano. Between them immediately there is sympathy.

Paloma learns that in the evening at the theater will be Leonardo Santander with his wife and children. At that time, Leonardo was one of the most likely candidates for president of Colombia. Senor Santander is a very successful politician and an excellent family man. He has a strong marriage with Ana Milena and two children: Christina and Diego. But Paloma tricked into the theater and did everything to attract the attention of Leonardo. She makes it clear that she strongly supports him in the election race.

Paloma will have to go to a lot of villains, harm many people in her path, forget that she likes Mariano to take the place of the First Lady. She will have to trick Amauri and even abandon her own mother in order to achieve her. She will become the wife of Leonardo, and Senor Santander, in turn, will take over as president.
