Merzlikin, Andrei Ilyich

Born March 24, 1973 in the city of Kaliningrad (now Korolev ), Moscow Region .

In 1988, after graduating from eight-year school No. 22 in the village of Tekstilshchik in the city ​​of Kaliningrad, Moscow Region ^[3] , Andrei entered the Kaliningrad College of Space Engineering and Technology . In 1992 he graduated from it, having received the qualification of " radio engineer " in the specialty "Control Devices" ^[4] .

In 1996, he graduated with honors from the State Academy of Life and Services in Moscow with a degree in Production Management - Management . His thesis was a project to revive the Sapozhnikovs weaving factory .

In 1994 he entered the acting faculty of VGIK (workshop of E. A. Kindinov ), studying for two years in two universities at the same time. He graduated from VGIK in 1998 ^[4] .

While studying at VGIK Andrei Merzlikin starred in the films of young directors: “Ailoster” (dir. Olga Darfi, 1998), “Why do you love me?” (1998) and “News” (1999) dir. Ilya Khotinenko , The Final (dir. Sok Kwon Ki, 1998). For his role in the film directed by Natalia Pogonicheva, “ How I Spent the Summer ” (1999), I received a prize for Best Actor at the VGIK International Student Festival .

In 2000, he worked in the international theater project “Hotel Europe”, directed by Ivan Popovsky , with whom he traveled to the largest theater festivals in Europe (in Vienna, Bonn, Avignon , Stockholm, Bologna) ^[4] .

In 2001-2011, he was an actor of the Moscow Drama Theater under the direction of Armen Dzhigarkhanyan , where he played diverse roles: Judge Lyapkin-Tyapkin in The Examiner (dir. S. Gazarov ), the young man Angel in the play “The Powder Barrel” based on the play by Dejan Dukowski (dir. K. Azaryan), Figaro in the play “Crazy Day, or the Marriage of Figaro” (dir. Y. Klepikov), Vershinin in “Three Sisters” (dir. Y. Klepikov and Vl. Yachmenev), “He” in the play E. Radzinsky “She is in the absence of love and death” (dir. Yu. Ioffe), the hero-lover Simon in the comedy thriller “Killer Theater” by play by T. Stoppard (dir. S. Golomazov ) ^[5] .

He began his professional film career by playing small roles in films and TV shows (“To Love in Russian 3: Governor”, ​​directed by Evgeny Matveev (1999), “Old Nags”, directed by Eldar Ryazanov (2000), “A Person of French Nationality” (directed by Ilya Khotinenko, 2000 )

The success and popularity of Andrei Merzlikin was brought by the role of Dimon (“Scaled”) in the film directed by Pyotr Buslov “ Boomer ” ^[5] . After Boomer and its continuation, the actors began to be invited by many directors, offering him different roles, including the roles of criminals.

He played more than a hundred roles in films and series. He worked with directors A. Balabanov , P. Chukhrai , F. Bondarchuk , N. Mikhalkov , Vl. Mirzoev , A. Cott , M. Segal and others.

In 2012, he made his debut as a film director, having shot the short feature film “GQ” based on the script by Mikhail Segal ^[6] . In the same year, the picture took part in the competition “Kinotavr. Short meter ”at the 23rd Kinotavr Open Russian Film Festival ^{[7] [8]} .

In 2014, Merzlikin appeared in the 2nd season of the television series Molodezhka , where he played Maxim Eduardovich Streltsov, head coach of the Ice Kings hockey team, a hockey player of the Canadian club Ottawa, which was facilitated by the actor’s ability to skate ^[9] .

In 2015, Andrei Merzlikin played one of the main roles ( Colonel Kadyshev ) in the feature film directed by Alexei Petrukhin Uchilka . The film was shot in secondary school No. 7 of the city of Kaliningrad, Moscow Region, where Merzlikin received his primary school education (from 1st to 3rd grades) ^{[10] [11] [12]} .

In 2017, Andrei Merzlikin played the role of investigator Oleg Zvonarev in the television series Death Track , based on the real criminal case of the GTA gang .

During the 2018 presidential election, he joined the Putin Team movement, which supported the candidate for the post of President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin ^[13] .
