Nelli Pavlovna Konopleva (born March 18, 1941) is a Russian scientist, doctor of physical and mathematical sciences, senior researcher at JINR and VNIIEM .

Biography
In 1964 she graduated from the Physics Department of Moscow State University [1] , graduate of the Department of Statistical Physics and Quantum Mechanics.
She worked in the laboratory of K.P. Stanyukovich at the VNIIEM and together with her left there first (in September 1965) at the All-Russian Research Institute of Introscopy, then (since April 1967) at the All-Russian Research Institute of Optical and Physical Measurements of the USSR State Standard System.
In February 1970, she returned to VNIIEM. There, in 1972, under her leadership, a laboratory of theoretical physics was established, which existed until 1998.
From 1991 to 2011, she worked as a seconded employee in the Laboratory of Theoretical Physics, JINR [2] . [3]
Currently - Senior Researcher, JINR and VNIIEM .
In 1982, she was awarded the degree of Doctor of Physics and Mathematics [4] .
The author of several dozens of scientific works on the Lagrangian and geometric classical theory of gauge fields , the history of physics and the philosophical problems of natural science.
N.P. Konopleva developed the geometric theory of gauge fields as connections of the main fiber space over [5] [6] and the consistent Lagrangian theory of gauge fields of a general form, naturally including gravity [7] [8] [9]
N.P. Konopleva is the author of a regular method for obtaining conservation laws and additional conditions in theories with local symmetry. She showed that in the localization of spatio-temporal symmetry, any tensor or homogeneous transforming fields can play the role of gauge fields. [10] [11] [12]
N. P. Konopleva is the author of several articles on the philosophical problems of physics - the problem of identity [13] , the problem of inertia [14] , and the problems of the methodology of physics [15] .
The monograph of N. P. Konopleva and V. N. Popov “Gauge Fields” was published in three editions and translated into English. [16] The reference to it is in the list of references to the article “Gauge Fields” [17] of the Big Russian Encyclopedia , monographs by D. D. Ivanenko and G. A. Sardanashvili “Gravity” [18] and L. B. Okun “Leptons and quarks " [19] .
