Story

1991 year. Daniel Middleton, father of a 13-year-old teenager. The son is suffering a loss and begins to withdraw into himself. Daniel spends most of his time at home doing meditation . Mom, observing this behavior, decides to send Daniel for the summer to his aunt to dissipate. Aunt lives in a small resort town on the Cape Cod Peninsula. There, Daniel moonlights as a shop assistant.

One day, Hunter Strawbury, the legendary local bully, rushes to his work. He asks Daniel to hide his marijuana from a police officer chasing him. After this incident, the boys become friends. Hunter earns a living by selling weed. Daniel asks to take him to this business. He quickly learns in this matter and even begins to come up with schemes of how they could earn even more. At this time, a gangster named Dex comes to the companions. He promises to supply them with goods in any quantities in which they can only sell it. Things are going uphill and friends are getting richer.

In an open-air cinema, Daniel accidentally meets McCale, the most adored local girl. He talks about this acquaintance to Hunter. He explains to Daniel that, in fact, McCale is his sister and forbids her from approaching her. Daniel also learns that Hunter has a conflict with his sister over the death of their mother, and they have not been talking for a very long time. However, Daniel begins dating McCale. She, in turn, asks him to stay away from her brother, since he is engaged in drugs.

Daniel comes up with a new idea to expand them with Hunter business. He offers to start selling cocaine and already knows where to get it. Hunter is categorically against such an undertaking, including due to the fact that their boss Dex will not like this. In this case, Daniel decides to act alone. He goes to a deal to buy a batch of cocaine, but there he is deceived. He doesn’t get the “powder," and they’re robbing him of money. Dex becomes aware that his people who were selling marijuana now want to tackle cocaine. He goes to the city to punish them. Dex finds Hunter in his car service and kills. Sheila O'Malley from RogerEbert.com delivered the movie 1.5 stars out of 4. She noted that the film consists of a large number of clichés , here are “ Nice Guys ”, “ Boogie Nights ”, and “ Place in the Sun ” , and " Rebel for no reason ."
