Biography
Born September 29, 1921 in Kharkov in the family of a civil engineer.
In 1939 he entered the Leningrad Polytechnic Institute . From the third year, he volunteered for the front, participated in battles near Leningrad, in the liberation of the Baltic states, and was seriously wounded. In 1945, he came directly from the hospital to LIPAN ( IAE ) and at the same time entered the Moscow Engineering Physics Institute , which he graduated in 1948.
He worked in the IAE from 1945 to 1983, the last position is the head of the department. Scientific direction - the study of promising methods for detecting nuclear radiation, neutron-neutron scattering.
Doctor of physico-mathematical sciences, professor.
The 1953 Stalin Prize - for the development of photoelectronic multipliers and scintillation crystals.
USSR State Prize of 1976 - for a series of works on predicting, detecting, and investigating the effect of suppressing nuclear reactions in perfect crystals.
He was awarded the Order of the Red Banner of Labor, the Red Star, two orders of the Badge of Honor and many medals.
Died 02/18/1983 after a long illness.
