Zimbabwe Museum of Humanities , formerly known as Queen Victoria Museum, is a museum in Harare , Zimbabwe , opened in 1903 [1] .

The museum contains a library, an art gallery, archaeological and ethnographic exhibits, in particular a model of the village of Shona . The museum also features exhibits of wildlife [2] . A significant part of the museum is dedicated to human evolution and history and tells about the use of tools by ancient people [1] . The main exhibit of the museum is a seven hundred year old artifact of the Lemb people - Ngoma Lungundu , which some consider a replica of the Ark of the Covenant . This is the oldest wooden object that has ever been discovered in sub-Saharan Africa [3] .
