Alexander Davidovich Poznansky (born November 6, 1929 , Nizhny Novgorod ) is a Soviet and Russian theater actor, master of art, people's artist of the RSFSR .

Biography
Alexander Davidovich Poznansky was born on November 6, 1929 in Nizhny Novgorod. When he was 7 years old, his father was arrested and repressed. Subsequently, the father was rehabilitated and died of cirrhosis [1] .
In 1947 he entered the Moscow Theater School at the State Jewish Theater (GOSET); after its closure in 1949 he moved to the Theater School. Schukin , who graduated in 1953. In 1950, he participated in the first post-war All-Union competition of readers dedicated to the 20th anniversary of the death of V.V. Mayakovsky.
Returning to Gorky , he played at the Gorky Theater for a young spectator and simultaneously performed on stage.
In 1956 he transferred to the Nizhny Novgorod Philharmonic. Since 1957, he began performing at recitals. Since 1958, he began touring the USSR.
In 1957 he created his first program dedicated to V. Mayakovsky. In 1958, an evening of verses by S. Yesenin. In 1959, the evening of the stories of A. Chekhov and A. Kuprin. In 1961 - “Voices of the Young” (E. Evtushenko, A. Voznesensky, R. Rozhdestvensky). In 1962, an evening of poetry by A. Pushkin and M. Lermontov. In 1965, he created a program based on the stories of Yu. Kazakov. In 1970, he began to read “The Meek” by F. Dostoevsky.
In 1972 he created a composition based on Pushkin’s poems and the novels “Station Warden” and “Shot” (“Boldinskaya Autumn”); then - an evening of short stories by V. Shukshin (1973), evening by A. Twardowski (1974), chapters from the Blue Book by M. Zoshchenko (1975). In 1978, he created the “Three Stories” program based on A. Chekhov's stories “A Man in a Case”, “Gooseberry”, “About Love”.
Later created the program “B. Parsnip. Poems. Memoirs ”(1981) and“ Biblical motives ”(works on biblical subjects: B. Pasternak, L. Andreev, A. Kuprin, A. Chekhov and Ch. Aitmatov, 1989). In total, during his creative career, he created more than 35 solo programs.
He performed on Nizhny Novgorod radio and television, was engaged in directing. Member of the Board of the Nizhny Novgorod branch of the Union of Theater Workers of Russia.
