Anatoly Nikiforovich Shkurko (born October 29, 1924 , the village of Smolin , Chernihiv Oblast, USSR , USSR ) is a Soviet and Ukrainian artist, a member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine (since 1960). Honored Artist of Ukraine (since 1996), People's Artist of Ukraine (since 2009). Laureate of the Chernihiv Regional Prize. M. Kotsyubinsky (1996) [1] . Honorary Citizen of Chernigov [1] . Member of many solo exhibitions.

Biography
Anatoly Nikiforovich Shkurko was born on October 29, 1924 in the village of Smolin . In 1929 [2] , and according to other sources in 1930, the artist’s family moved to Chernihiv [1] . Anatoly Nikiforovich entered the Kharkov Art College, but his studies were interrupted due to World War II , in which he took part in the 111th Infantry Regiment of the 1st Belorussian Front and reached Berlin [1] . For service he received military orders and medals [1] .
In 1951 he graduated from the Institute of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture. I. Yu. Repin . Teachers R. Frents , D. Alkhovsky , I. Sorokin [3] .
The works of A. Shkurko are in the fund of the Chernihiv Regional Art Museum , as well as in galleries and private collections in Ukraine and abroad [4] .
