Vunaros Hill, on which the city of Agamed was once located
Agameda ( Greek Ἀγαμήδη ) is the daughter of Makaria , who was also called Pirra [1] , the daughter of Heracles and Dejanira . The locality and spring on Lesvos near were named after her [1] [2] [3] [4] . In the days of Pliny, this city already ceased to exist [5] [6] , but relatively recently its ruins were discovered on a small hill called Vunaros ( Greek Βούναρος ), three kilometers north of the ancient Pyrrha [7] .
