Gatsko, Vasily Nikolaevich

In 1999, he entered the Faculty of Economics and Management of Kiev National Economic University , where in 2003 he received the qualification of a bachelor of management , a teacher of economics, in 2004 - a master's degree in management of organizations.

In 2005, he was enrolled in graduate school of the in the specialty "Economic Security of the State", where he studied until 2008 .

In February - March 2007, he trained in the European Parliament in Brussels and Strasbourg .

In his student years, he worked as the deputy chairman of the trade union committee of PEPOS KNEU (February - December 2002 ) and the chief specialist-auditor of the accounting and control department of the Main Directorate for Family and Youth Affairs of the Kyiv City State Administration (May - December 2003 ).

From October 2005 to December 2006 he worked in the Department of Social and Economic Strategies of the National Institute for Strategic Studies as a junior research fellow.

Since June 2014 - Member of the Kiev City Council . Member of the Commission on Budget and Social and Economic Development.

He was elected to leadership positions of the student union of the Kiev National Economic University.

In 2005, he was elected chairman of the All-Ukrainian Youth Public Organization " " (since 2007 - VMOO "Democratic Alliance"). He was re-elected to this position in 2007 and 2009 .

In 2010, he was elected chairman of the Democratic Alliance political party, created on the basis of the VMOO Democratic Alliance. Party member since inception.

In 2012, he ran for the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine in the single-mandate constituency No. 211 ( Kiev , Goloseevsky district ) ^[1] . Took sixth place with a score of 2.21% (2252 votes) ^[2] .

In 2014, he headed the list of the Democratic Alliance party in the elections to the Kiev City Council . According to the exit polls, the party was supposed to get 3.7% of the vote, which is enough to enter the council. As a result of the counting and recounting of votes, the party gained 3.007% (39,712) of the vote, which allowed the two first persons on the party list to become deputies of the Kiev city council ^[3] .

On April 5, the court forbade the Democratic Alliance to protest against the poor condition of roads in Ukraine in front of the residence of ex-president of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych in Novy Petrovtsy . As the reason for the refusal, it was indicated that at this time the city government will liquidate the consequences of the flood. Despite the injunction, party activists arrived near Mezhigorye and held a press conference there. At the exit from the village, they were stopped by the police and arrested the leader of the Kiev cell Maxim Panov. On the same day, the court arrested Panov for 7 days for violating the rules for peaceful assembly.

On April 12, about 20 activists marched in Mezhigorye, protesting against the arrest of Maxim Panov. Police detained the protesters, and Vasily Gatsko was arrested by the court for 5 days.

After the flight of Viktor Yanukovych, lists of dangerous persons were found in the guard house of the Mezhigorye residence, including a photo of Vasily Gatsko.
