Biography

In school, in addition to football, he was involved in volleyball, basketball, and handball. From the 10th grade he played in the local Dniester in the regional championship . In 1967, on the advice of the arbiter Leonid Kolen, he entered the Lviv Carpathians , where he played for the double. At the end of the year, at the invitation of the former Karpat player Gennady Snegiryov, he moved to Vanguard Makeevka from class B headed by him. Kikot, who did not know the Russian language, ended up in the Russian - speaking Donetsk region . In July 1968 he joined the team of the second group of class “A” “Azovets” Zhdanov . 1970-1971 he spent in the team of the major league Shakhtar Donetsk . As part of the youth team in 1971 he played in the qualifying matches of the European Championship, but did not get into the final part due to an injury to the lateral ligaments of the knee. In 1972-1977 he played for Karpaty in the USSR Championship, scoring 9 goals in 142 matches. He ended his career in 1978 in the team of the first league Spartak Ivano-Frankivsk .
