Rusudan Revazovna Lordkipanidze ( Georgian რუსუდან რევაზის ასული ლორთქიფანიძე , born August 5, 1947, Tbilisi, Georgia) is a Georgian architect and teacher of higher education. Rector of Tbilisi State University (December 2004 - April 2006). Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Georgia to the Republic of Italy.

Biography
Father - Revaz Lortkipanidze, professor, director of the Institute of Structural Mechanics and Seismic Exploration of the Georgian Academy of Sciences; mother - Helen Lortkipanidze, economist.
She graduated from Tbilisi high school in 1965 with a gold medal. In the same year she entered the Faculty of Architecture of the Polytechnic Institute , which she graduated with honors in 1970. Her thesis: "Children's Wellness Center" was awarded the first prize.
Since 1972, a member of the Union of Architects. In 1971-1975, she studied at the graduate school of the Moscow Research Institute of Public Works. Candidate of Architecture (1970) [1] .
Since 1975, he has been working at the Georgian Academy of Sciences, and since 1981, a senior researcher. Since 1976 she also taught at the Georgian Technical University, since 1993 - professor. In 1989-1991 she studied at the doctoral program of the Moscow Institute of Architecture and History. In 1993 she defended her doctoral dissertation on the topic “The Role of Historical Heritage in Contemporary Italian Architecture”.
In 1982-1983, she trained at the Faculty of Architecture of the University of Rome.
From 1998 to October 1, 2004 - Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Republic of Italy.
Since October 1, 2004 - rector of Tbilisi State University, December 13, 2004 was elected rector of the university.
