Kempinsky, Stanislav

In 1885 he graduated from high school in Krakow .

In 1885-1889 he studied mathematics, physics and astronomy at the Jagiellonian University .

In 1891 he received a Ph.D. Subsequently, he continued his studies at the universities of Gottingen and Berlin .

Upon returning to Krakow, he worked as a mathematics teacher at the Higher Real School.

In 1893-1896, as a privatdocent, he taught mathematics at the Jagiellonian University, and from 1896, he was an extraordinary professor.

In 1898 he was appointed professor of the Department of Mathematics at the Polytechnic School in Lviv.

In 1902-1908 he was elected four times the dean of the engineering department, and in the academic year 1903-1904 he was elected rector of the Lviv Higher Polytechnic School (now the National University "Lviv Polytechnic" ).

At the same time he taught mathematics at Lviv University.

He was engaged in research in the field of function theory . The author of many textbooks and scientific publications.

He was elected ambassador (deputy) of the Galician Seim (1901-1907).

He died on March 24, 1908 in Zakopane . He was buried in Lviv at the Lychakiv cemetery .
