Lanarkshire

History

In the Middle Ages, Lanarkshire was the most densely populated county in Scotland and had a significantly larger territory, including the neighboring until 1402 . North Lanarkshire and South Lanarkshire have a joint commission for evaluating and registering voters. There is also a joint medical commission that does not cover Rutherglen and its surroundings in South Lanarkshire. Without northern North Lanarkshire, it is also the ceremonial county of Lanarkshire.

In August 2011, International Children's Games were held in Lanarkshire. [4] A total of 1300 athletes and trainers, as well as functionaries and delegates representing 77 cities from 33 countries of the world, participated.

Economics

The county has developed such industries as ferrous metallurgy, shipbuilding, aircraft manufacturing, railway engineering, and the textile industry. Coal is being mined.
