Irmologiy , Irmologion , Irmolog ( Greek Εἰρμο-λόγιον from Greek Εἰρμός - literally "row, sequence" + Greek. Λόγιον - speech, word) - a liturgical book of the Orthodox Church that contains liturgical texts intended for the church. Irmology are of two types: the first, which contain texts and notes; the second, containing some texts. The composition of the irmologists of different editions varies.

The irmologion includes primarily the irmos of canons , from where it got its name. In addition, modern textual irmology contains:

• Chants of the liturgies of St. John Chrysostom , St. Basil the Great and the Presanctified Gifts .
• Theotokos (dogmas), which are sung on Vespers after stichera on “ Lord, cries ” and on the verse.
• Mother of God eight voices, which are sung on "And now," when the saint in Minea laid "Glory."
• Three times the morning of the voice.
• Sunday troparia , which are sung " Immaculate ."
• Polyelei .
• Poems from the psalms, the so-called selected psalms and exaltations of the holidays and saints.
• Power antiphons .
• Prokimny .
• Troparia and Stichera Sunday, some holidays and saints.
• Prophetic songs that served as the basis for the corresponding songs of the canon .
• Two sections that are poetic to the songs of the canon : on weekdays - “Lord, let us sing”, on holidays - “Let's go Lord”.

In modern editions of the Russian Orthodox Church of Hirmologion, chants are given in a five-line musical notation .
