UEFA Europa League 2 ( UEFA Europa League 2 ; UEL2 ) is the upcoming annual football club competition organized by UEFA for European football clubs. Clubs will be able to qualify for the competition based on the results of their performance in national leagues and cup competitions. This will be the third level of European club football, after the Champions League and the Europa League . The name Europa League 2 is only a working title, which will be replaced by the official name at a later stage of planning.

The competition is planned to be held from the 2021/2022 season, and this tournament will actually serve as a lower level of the UEFA Europa League, which, in turn, is planned to be reduced to 32 teams in the group stage. In the Europa League 2, teams from the lowest-rated member associations of UEFA will primarily participate. [1] [2]
Format
The format of the Europa League 2 will not be different from the Champions League and the Europa League. Each tournament will play 32 teams, which will increase the minimum guaranteed representation in three tournaments from 26 to 34 associations. The main tournament tournament will consist of a group stage (8 groups of 4 clubs) and a playoff - 1/8, 1/4, 1/2 finals and finals.
