History

The street appeared no later than 1909 under the name Panteleimonovskaya; in the first quarter of the 20th century , Frunze Street was named after the Soviet military leader Mikhail Frunze . In 1941 - 1943 , Glebov Street, in honor of the Ukrainian writer Leonid Glebov . The modern name is from 1955 [1] , in honor of Sormovo - the historic district of Nizhny Novgorod in Russia
