The Yamankhalinsky district with its center in the village of Yamanhalinsky was formed on September 3, 1928 as part of the Guryevsky district from the Topolinsky and parts of the Kulaginsky, Karasamarsky and Redutsky volosts of the Guryevsky district of the Ural province .
September 22, 1930 the Yamankhalinsky district was abolished, and its territory entered the Guryevsky district [1] .
