Geography
It is located 15 km north-east of Dmitrovsk on the right bank of the Nerussa River. The height of the village above sea level is 234 m [2] .
History
In 1926, there were 19 farms in the village, 100 people lived (46 males and 54 females). At that time, Petropavlovsky was part of the Obrateyevsky village council of Volkonskoy volost, Dmitrovsky district, Orel province [3] . Later transferred to the Stolbishchensky village council . Since 1928, as part of the Dmitrov district. In 1937, there were 21 courtyards in the village [4] . During the Great Patriotic War, from October 1941 to August 1943, he was in the zone of Nazi occupation (the territory of Lokotsky self-government ). He was released on August 12, 1943 by the 55th Rifle Division of the 70th Army [5] . The remains of soldiers who died in the battles for the liberation of Peter and Paul, after the war were reburied in the mass grave of the village of Stolbishche [6] .
