Biography

Born March 23, 1922 in the city of Tomsk .

Since 1942, in the Red Army , a participant in the Great Patriotic War . [one]

Since 1949, after graduating from Tomsk Polytechnic Institute as a chemical chemist, he worked at closed facilities of the USSR nuclear industry .

From 1949 he was sent to the closed city of Sverdlovsk-45 , worked as an engineer , deputy head of the tool shop, head of the tool shop, from 1960 the head of the mechanical assembly shop, and from 1967 to 1970 the chief technologist of Plant No. 418 MSM of the USSR . Yu. D. Shmatkov was the leader in the development and serial assembly of complex special defense products, was one of the developers of technological processes for the electrochemical dimensional processing of uranium parts and pressing into the size of large-sized parts from hydride materials .

He died on August 27, 1970 in Sverdlovsk-45 .
