Biography, career
Born in 1967. She graduated from Moscow State University and graduate school.
Since March 15, 1993 he works at the Institute of Physics of the Earth. O. Yu. Schmidt of the Russian Academy of Sciences , at present - the chief researcher , department of planetary geophysics and geodynamics, laboratory of origin, internal structure and dynamics of the Earth and planets [1] .

Field of Activities, Achievements
Stepanova is a specialist in solving ill-posed problems of geophysics, interpreting gravimetric and magnetometric data, and creating numerical methods for solving large ill - conditioned systems of linear algebraic equations [3] .
She has published over 80 scientific articles [1] [4] , 3 monographs. The book “Inverse problems and methods for their solution. Applications to geophysics ”(authors Yagol A.G. , Van Yanfey, Stepanova I.E.) was repeatedly reprinted (third edition: 2017, ISBN 978-5-00101-496-6 ).
