Qingchenshan ( Chinese р 山 п , pinyin : Qīngchéng Shān ) is a mountain in Dujiangyan city district, 68 km from Chengdu , Sichuan , China . To the south of these mountains is Mount Hemingshan , where Patriarch Zhang Daolin met Lao Tzu in 142.

On Mount Qinchenshan in 143, Zhang Daolin founded the first Taoist temple complex in history, thereby transforming Taoism from philosophical into religious teaching. From this mountain, according to tradition, Zhang Daolin went to heaven with his wife and two students.
During the Tang Dynasty, at least 70 Taoist cloisters were located on the slopes of the mountain.
At the beginning of the 20th century, approx. 500 monks. The communist authorities closed most of the monasteries, but about a hundred hermits continued on the mountain centuries-old Taoist traditions. In the early 80s of the XX century, most monasteries were officially opened with the financial support of modern authorities. In 2000, the sacred mountain of Qincheng was listed by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site .
