Ryu Kobayashi ( Jap. 小林 陵 侑 ; November 8, 1996 , Hachimantai , Japan ) - Japanese jumper from the springboard, winner of the World Cup (2018/19 season) , bronze prizewinner of the World Junior Championships 2016 in the individual and team championship. The third jumper in the history of ski jumping after Sven Hannawald and Camille Stoch , who won the Grand Slam, having won all the stages of the Tour of the four jumps in 2019 .

Biography
He made his debut in the World Cup 2015/16 on January 23 in Zakopane ( Poland ) in the team competition, where the Japanese team took 8th place. He received his first points in the World Cup qualification on January 24, 2016 , becoming the 7th.
On November 18, 2018 Ryouiu was among the first prize winners at the World Cup in Wisla for the first time. The debut victory came to him in the next stage in the Finnish city of Ruka, where he won twice.
He participated in the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang , where he took the 7th place in the individual competitions on the normal springboard and the 10th place on the big springboard, and in the team tournament he took the 6th place. In the same year before the Olympics, he participated in the World Flight Championships , in which he became the 16th in the individual championship.

On the Tour of four jumps in the 2018/19 season, the Japanese athlete became the third jumper in the entire history of the competition, who managed to win all four stages and win the main trophy.
