Biography
He studied at the Almaty Accounting and Census College (1935-1938). He worked in the Republican Committee for the Distribution of Radio Messages (1938-1941), as a literary officer (1942-1943), as the head of the department in the newspaper Socialist Kazakhstan (Social Kazakhstan) (1943-1949), as the head of the department in the journal Pioneer ( 1949-1958).
- Works
He published his first works in the late 30s of the XX century. The first collection of short stories “Zhastyk” (“Youth”) was published in 1948. In subsequent years, he wrote the following works:
- Storybook “Mangan” (“Pillowcases”), 1948
- The story "The First Months" (1950, in Russian - 1955)
- The novel "Tanys Kyz" ("Familiar Girl") (1952, 1972, in Russian - in 1953, 1956)
- A collection of essays and short stories “Tydagylar” (1955).
- The novel "Kok Beles" (1958).
He wrote several theatrical works:
- The play "Zhas Umir" ("Young Life") (1948),
- Menin Mahabbatim (My Love) (1954)
- The satirical comedy "Sungen Shala" (1957).
