The helmet-head toad [2] ( lat. Ingerophrynus galeatus ) is a species of tailless amphibians from the family of toads living in Southeast Asia .

Content
DescriptionThe total length reaches 6-7 cm. Sexual dimorphism is observed: females are larger than males. On the head of females powerful bony outgrowths are developed, forming high crests. Paws, sides and edges of the back are covered with small sharp spikes. The overall color of the back is chocolate-brown, the sides are red-brown. On the main background there is a pattern of fine dark spots developed to one degree or another.
LifestyleIt inhabits tropical and subtropical forests in the highlands. Occurs at an altitude of 1,300 meters above sea level . It feeds on invertebrates [3] .
ReproductionMating and breeding occurs in clean mountain streams .
SpreadLives in Vietnam , Laos , Cambodia , Thailand , sometimes found in Hainan Province (China).
