Husam Al-Khalidi ( October 28, 1956 , Baghdad , Iraq - went missing in 2005) is an Iraqi entrepreneur, a British citizen of Arab descent. He was known as the owner of the first in Russia private professional football club Asmaral . [1] Since 2005, it has been reported as missing [2] [3] .

Biography
Husam Al-Khalidi Ali was born on October 28 in 1956, in a family of hereditary entrepreneurs. Until 6 years he lived in Baghdad, studied at schools in Iraq and Lebanon , then he was transported by his sister to Moscow and began to study at a Moscow boarding school. Later he graduated from Moscow State University , faculty of journalism . He worked at the Embassy of Iraq in the USSR [4] . In 1984, he became a co-owner of two companies, also organized a joint Soviet-British enterprise “Asmaral”, his wife Svetlana Bekoeva was the general director of the company.

In early 1990, he acquired the Moscow football club of the second league Krasnaya Presnya , which by that time was on the balance of one of the taxi fleets of the capital, on the legal basis of which the Asmaral football club was created, in which it began to invest significant even by the standards of the major union league financial resources [1] . In 1992-1993, the Moscow “Asmaral” played in the major league of the championship of Russia . In 1991, Konstantin Beskov was invited to the post of head coach of the team, a number of well-known players also joined the team, including Yuri Gavrilov [5] . The president of FC “Asmaral” (Moscow) in 1992-2002 was Svetlana Bekoeva [6] - the first woman president of a sports club in the country [7] .
Al-Khalidi was the owner of several other football clubs in Russia called “Asmaral” (the name “Asmaral” is formed from the first syllables of the names of Al-Khalidi's children - Asil, Mariam and Alan), these clubs included: “Asmaral” (Moscow) , “Asmaral” (Kislovodsk) [8] , “Karelia-Asmaral” (Petrozavodsk) and “Asmaral” -d (Moscow) , the club also included the club “Beshtau” (Lermontov) [9] . Al-Khalidi was bought by the former cottage of L.I. Brezhnev in Kislovodsk , which was used as a training base.
Over time, Al-Khalidi's business began to decline, and therefore it became impossible to maintain even one team - Moscow - and the club subsequently went bankrupt. [ten]

At 26, he married Ossetian Svetlana Bekoeva, whom she met during her studies at the Literary Institute .
Disappearance
In 2004, Husam traveled to Baghdad to conclude a business contract with his partners and sponsors. Two weeks later, he stopped communicating and went missing. A version of the public murder of a businessman is also known.
