Doulia (lat.) - a genus of fossil phytoplankton of an unclear systematic position that grew in the territory of the modern People's Republic of China during the third century [ specify ] the Cambrian period ( 534-524 million years ago ) [1] . Includes a single species - Doulia rara [1] .

Research History
The new genus and species are described by Tien Lan, Jie Yan, Xi-Guang Zhang and Jin-bo Hou in 2018 according to the fossilized remains found in the Hongjingzhao formation , Southern China [1] .
