Geography
Located 200 km east of Barnaul . The nearest railway station Zarinskaya is 90 km away. The river of the same name flows through the village. In the south of the village near Old Togul , the Togul River flows into Uksunai .
The street network of the district center consists of 44 streets and lanes.
The highway P367 Martynovo - Zalesovo passes through Togul.
History
It was founded in 1801 .
The first mention of Togul land dates back to 1625-1626. For the first time in the audit lists, Togul village was mentioned in 1770 . But even before the appearance of Russian settlers near the Kuznetsk tract in the area of modern Pervomaiskaya Street there was a Tatar village of the same name. For a long time, Pervomaiskaya Street was called “hillocks” by old-timers. These were the remains of Tatars dugouts. Later, immigrants from Ukraine settled in this area.
Pre-Revolutionary Period
The population of Togul, which in the first quarter of the 19th century became a large village, was engaged in agriculture, beekeeping, and cattle breeding. In the late XIX - early XX centuries, marked changes in the economic development of Togul took place. In the village flour-grinding, sausage production grew, private dairy farms appeared, merchant plants for processing agricultural raw materials appeared. In Togul, there were 18 merchants. They owned shops, mills, tanneries and iron foundries, forges.
Soviet period
One of the pages of Togul's history is the birth and development of gold mines. In 1900, gold deposits were discovered in the area of the Uksunaysky mine and the village of Priiskovy in 1950, and the mines were closed. Currently, gold mining is gradually reviving.
During the Civil War, Togul was the center of the white movement of Przumysh. He held an important strategic position at the junction of the three counties. Togul was connected by highway roads to three cities - Barnaul , Biysk , and Kuznetsk . In 1919, Togul was captured by detachments of the Red Army and a village council was created. With the beginning of collectivization, peasants were forcibly forced to abandon individual farming and join collective farms . Collective farms were organized in every village throughout the district, and by 1940 there were 85 of them. However, peaceful life was disrupted in 1941 , the outbreak of World War II . The Togulchans fought on all fronts: on the Kursk Bulge , near Leningrad , defended Moscow , many reached Berlin , fought in the Far East with Japan . 6588 people were called up from Togulsky District; 2963 defenders of the Fatherland were killed on the battlefields.
In 1954-1956 230 volunteers arrived in the area to develop virgin lands . Over the years, 12300 hectares of land have been developed.
In the late Soviet era, there was an airport that hosted An-2 aircraft.

Social Environment
In the center of the district center there is a district house of culture, a museum, a print publication "Rural Lights", pharmacies, shops, the administration of the village council and the district, a police department, a post office, a clinic built according to the governor's program, a fire department, a timber industry farm, bank branches of Sberbank , Russian Agricultural Bank and Sovcombank , Mikhailo-Arkhangelsk church, bus station and other administrative organizations of Togulsky district .
Education
In the village there are educational institutions: the main secondary and secondary schools, Togul branch of KGBPOU "Bochkarev Lyceum of vocational education, several kindergartens, music and art schools, libraries.
Sport
In the area of Beloglinka there is a ski base with a track, where skiing competitions are held in winter, and in summer running. In the area of Novaya ulitsa there is a stadium where various events of a regional and regional nature are held.
Enterprises
In the village there are timber industry enterprises, a bakery, a sawmill, a pimokatny workshop.
