Shavkatdjon Shokirovich Rakhimov (born 14 August 1994 , Kurgan-Tyube ) - Tajik boxer , representative of the second semi-lightweight category. He played for the national boxing team of Tajikistan in the first half of the 2010s, three-time champion of the Tajik national championship, winner and medalist of many tournaments of international importance. Since 2015, he has been boxing on a professional level in Russia, owning the title of world champion according to the International Boxing Organization (IBO).

Biography
Shavkatdzhon Rakhimov was born on August 14, 1994 in the city of Kurgan-Tyube, Khatlon Region , Tajikistan .
Amateur career
He made his debut in the international arena in the 2011 season, speaking at the World Junior Championships in Astana.
In 2013, he won the Tajikistan Championship in Dushanbe in the standings of the light welterweight division. Once in the main squad of the Tajik national team, he won the silver medal of the Governor's Cup in St. Petersburg, won the Ismail Khamzaaliev Memorial in Khujand, received the bronze at the Galym Zharylgapov Memorial in Karaganda, performed at the World Championships in Almaty , where in the 1/8 final was stopped by Kirgiz Ermek Sakenov [1] .
In 2014, he was again the best in the standings of the Tajik national championship, won again at the Ismail Khamzaaliev Memorial, won a bronze medal at the student world championship in Yakutsk, took silver at the World Cup of oil countries in Beloyarsk, losing to Uzbek Shahram Giyasov in the final.
At the Tajikistan Championship 2015, he again defeated all opponents in the first middleweight and thereby won the gold medal. In addition, he became the silver medalist of the Taimanov and Utemissov Memorial in Atyrau.
He tried to qualify for the 2016 Summer Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro , but he failed at the world Olympic qualification in Baku - he stopped at the quarter-finals stage [2] [3] .
Professional career
Having decided to become a professional boxer, Rakhimov left the location of the Tajik national team and in December 2015 successfully made his debut at the professional level. He boxed on the territory of Russia, mainly in Yekaterinburg and Chelyabinsk , having signed a contract with the Ural promotion company of German Titov RCC Boxing Promotions .
In November 2016, he won the vacant title of the youth intercontinental champion in the second semi-lightweight category according to the World Boxing Organization (WBO), who later managed to defend once.
In 2017, he won the title of champion of the Eurasian-Pacific Boxing Council and, thanks to a series of successful performances, won the right to challenge the vacant world title of the International Boxing Organization (IBO). Initially, his opponent was to become an Argentinian David Saucedo, but he could not meet the limit of the second semi-light weight, and ultimately the representative of Mexico Emanuel Lopez (27-6-1) was chosen as the challenger. The confrontation between them lasted all allotted 12 rounds, in the end the judges unanimously gave the victory to Rakhimov.
Defending the champion title, in 2018, Shavkat Rakhimov defeated South African Malcolm Classen (33-7-2) and Mexican Robinson Castellanos by technical knockout. In 2019, he again defended his title, having won an early victory after the fourth time interval over South African boxer Rofhiva Maemu. [4] .
