Tambov Thermal Power Plant
It was commissioned on April 24, 1954 , with the launch of the first (of three) turbine units of the first stage (16 MW).
Previously, the Tambov Thermal Power Plant operated as a coal-dust plant, and brown coal near Moscow, containing 33% moisture and 23% ash, was used as fuel.
In the early 60s, the construction of the second phase of the CHPP was completed. During this period, modern boilers, turbine units and turbogenerators were introduced.
Today Tambov CHP consists of 3 phases. In total, the main equipment of the station includes 4 turbine units, 6 steam and 1 hot water boiler. The installed capacity of the Tambov TPP is 235 MW and 947 Gcal / h. The main type of fuel is gas, and backup fuel oil.
The Tambov Cogeneration Plant is the largest producer of electricity and a supplier of thermal energy for consumers in the regional center (the station’s work covers 30% of the city’s electricity needs and provides heat to more than 60% of Tambov residents).
By the way, the beginning of the city’s heating was laid in 1960, with the introduction of the TM-1 heating main (along the Morshansky highway). Three years later, the TM-2 heating main (to the Tambovpolymermash plant) was launched from the CHPP. Subsequently, it was extended to the northern part of the city, which made it possible to provide heat to even more Tambov residents (along Entuziastov Boulevard and Michurinskaya St.). As development progressed, the construction of trunk (TM-2A, TM-2B and TM-3), distribution and quarterly heat networks, central heating stations and pumping stations in the city of Tambov.
To date, the total length of the heating networks in the two-pipe calculation is 214.5 km, the total throughput of pipelines in terms of heat load is 574 Gcal / h.
Since January 1, 2016, the energy company received the status of ETO (Unified Heat Supply Organization) in its service area and is responsible for heat supply to consumers from the Tambov CHP.
Historical dates of the Tambov Thermal Power Plant
- In 1954, the commissioning of the Tambov Thermal Power Plant
- In 1957, construction began on the second phase of the Tambov Thermal Power Plant, which was commissioned in 1960-1962. (4 boiler units BKZ −160-100 st. No. 4-7 and 2 turbine units PT-25-90 st. No. 5.6).
- In 1974 The construction of the 3rd stage of the combined heat and power plant has begun.
- In 1979-1982 the main equipment of the 3rd stage was put into operation (2 boilers BKZ-420-140 st. No. 8.9 and 2 turbine units PT-60-130 st. No. 7 and T-110 / 120-130 st. No. 8).
- In 1975-1976 the peak TTEL boiler-house was constructed - 3 peak PTVM-100 boilers were commissioned, and in 1993 the KVGM-180 boiler (at the site of the dismantled first-stage boiler units) was commissioned.
- In 2005, as a result of the reorganization of the industry, Tambovenergo OJSC (of which the Tambov TPP was a branch) was divided into generating, electric grid and heat grid companies. Regional generating companies of 11 regions of the Center of the European part of the Russian Federation merged into TGK-4 OJSC.
- In 2007, through the merger of 2 branches of TGK-4 OJSC (Tambov Regional Generation and Lipetsk Regional Generation), the branch of TGK-4 OJSC, Eastern Regional Generation, was formed.
- In 2010, TGK-4 was renamed into Quadra OJSC, and the branch was renamed Eastern Generation.
- From 2016 to the present, it functions as an independent branch of PJSC “Quadra - Power Generation” - “Tambov Generation” and is part of the energy capacities of PJSC “Quadra - Power Generation”
