Biography
He was born in a Jewish family in the city of Evpatoria KrASSR . Crane's father was a hairdresser, he died at the front.
He studied at the Leningrad Nakhimov School , graduated from the Higher Naval Scuba Diving School and the Faculty of Journalism of Moscow State University . He served as navigator on submarines of the Northern Fleet of the MMF USSR . He worked in the newspaper of the Northern Fleet "On Guard of the Arctic". In the years 1963-1987, the future well-known Russian writers V. Safonov, V. Matveev, S. Pankratov, N. Rubtsov, B. Romanov collaborated in the newspaper.
He died from cancer. He was buried in Evpatoria [1] .
Creativity
He is the author of several novels, several screenplays and plays on the maritime theme, the performances of which were staged by the theaters of Murmansk, Moscow and Vladivostok. The performance of the play "Hurry up to catch" was awarded a silver medal to them. A. D. Popova. Film studio "Lenfilm" "True Lieutenant Klimov" (1981) according to the script Krein awarded the silver medal to them. A.I. Dovzhenko [2] .

- In Severomorsk, on January 31, 1996, a memorial plaque was installed on the house number 16 on ul. Dushenov, where he lived for about nineteen years, and his name since 2016 has been carried by the North Sea Central City Library [1] .
