Title
The street was named in 1989 in honor of the forest massif adjacent to its southern side - the Prigorodny Leskhoz of the Stolbishchenskoye lesnichestvo, which is popularly called the Dubrava Forest Park. The name of the street was officially approved by the decision of the Kazan City Executive Committee No. 229 dated March 15, 1989 [1] .
Location
Dubravnaya Street is located in the residential area of Gorki , being its southern border. It runs westward from Richard Sorge Street as a continuation of Commissar Gabishev Street (originally Dubravnaya Street was considered as its western section), but at the final segment it turns north-west and ends at Victory Avenue .
From the northern (odd) side of Dubravnaya street there are multi-storey houses of 8A and 9A microdistricts, from the southern (even) side there are Prigorodny Leskhoz of the Stolbishchensky forestry (Dubrava forest park), the Dubrava Ecopark residential complex and a number of other houses that are not related to residential complex. In the area where Dubravnaya Street connects with Pobedy Avenue from the south-west side, it is adjacent to a cottage village, whose houses are addressed to Zatly Street.
The total length of Dubravnaya street is 2.2 km [2] .
History
Dubravnaya street began to be built up from the end of the 1980s, with most of the housing districts 8A and 9A being built already in the 1990s. The complex building on the Soviet project with typical high-rise buildings remained unfinished. For this reason, a significant part of the street was built up in the post-Soviet period already on commercial terms by houses of individual projects.
In the 2000s, the development of empty spaces began on the even side of Dubravnaya street. In particular, on the territory of a large wasteland, a wedge jutting into the green zone of the Prigorodny Leskhoz of the Stolbishchenskoye lesnichestvo, the Tandem company began to build the residential complex “Ecopark Dubrava” (the first houses were commissioned in 2009).
The first house in Tatarstan (Dubravnaya Street, 11), built as part of the state republican social mortgage program, is located in microdistrict 8A. The initiator of the program, the first President of Tatarstan M.Sh. , took part in the solemn ceremony of its settlement held on July 13, 2006 . Shaimiev [3] [4] .
