Multiple world and European champion in the team event. Twice winner and four times winner of the European Championship in the individual competition. Member of the Russian national team since 1993. Winner of the European Cup (1994). Master of Sports of Russia of international class , Honored Master of Sports of Russia (2003) [1] [2] .

Biography
Daughter of collective farmers. In 1969 she graduated from Yoshkar-Ola Technological Technical School. Since 1970 she worked as a working paper mill in Karelia. From 1975 to 2007 she worked at the Novator Yoshkar-Ola plant.
In 1987, under the guidance of trainer N. Kutuzov, she began to run at extra long distances. Since 1992, she has participated in daily running competitions. Since 1993, a member of the Russian national team in athletics.
In 1993, as part of the national team, she performed at the European Championship in Basel (Switzerland) and took 6th place. In 1994 she participated in the national team at the European Cup in Odessa, where she won with the result of 212 km 800 meters and became the owner of the European Cup. In 2000, in the Cup of the country in St. Petersburg, took first place with a score of 226 km 299 meters [3] [4] .
In 2005, Rimma Paltseva won two gold medals in the team standings in the Russian team at the 2005 World Cup and European Championships in Austria. In the individual championship she was the twelfth in women [5] .
February 26, 2006 in Taipei (Taiwan) passed the world championship in daily running (24 hours). Rimma Paltseva ran 202 km 705 meters and took 10th place, 4 among the Russians [6] .
At the Russian Day Run Championship held on May 17–18, 2008 at the Yantar Stadium in Moscow as part of the 17th Super Marathon Day Run, which was held as part of the Russian Track and Field Championship 2008 , 59-year-old Rimma Paltseva became the oldest the champion of the country among all disciplines in athletics [7] .
In 2008, Rima Paltseva set the world record for her age group at the 24-hour World Championships in Seoul (South Korea) [8] .
On May 13–14, 2010, Rimma Paltseva ran 188 km 397 meters at the World and European Championships in the daily run in France, taking 34th place out of 78 participants [9] .
In 2012, at the World and European Championships for the daily run in Katowice (Poland), Rimma Paltseva ran 191 km 893 meters in 24 hours, taking 35th place in the overall standings among women, second place among Russian women and 124th among all participants [10 ] .
In 2013, the world championship in daily running was held in Steenbengen (Holland), while the medals of the European Championship were also played out. Rimma Paltseva ran 191 km 508 m per day [11] .
At the April 11–12, 2015 in Italy, 66-year-old Rimma Paltseva showed the best result in her age group, running 195 km 498 m in 24 hours, setting a world record exceeding the previous record of the American athlete by 27 kilometers Rimma Paltseva was among the first three participants of the Russian national team. Her result was recorded in the team event, in which the women's team of the Russian Federation took the 6th place among teams from 28 countries [12] [3] .
