Jack Hughes ( born Jack Hughes, May 14, 2001, Orlando , Florida , USA ) is an American hockey player . Currently playing for the US junior hockey team . Selected by the New Jersey Devils club under the general 1st number in the draft of 2019 [1] .

Game career
After playing for the Toronto Malbours junior team, she was selected eighth in the Ontario Hockey League draft in the Mississauga Steelheads team. However, Jack left home to play for the junior team of the US hockey team.
On July 12, 2019, he signed a 3-year newbie standard contract with the New Jersey Devils . [2]
International Career
He was called up to the 2018 U18 World Cup , which was held in Canada . There he took the second place with the US team, losing in the finals of the Finnish national team (2: 3). Jack scored 12 points (5 + 7) and was called the best player of the tournament.
He took part in the 2019 world hockey championship , held in Slovakia . He played seven matches for the US team , noting three assists [3] .
Family
Jack grew up in a hockey family. He has three brothers. Senior Quinn was selected in the 2018 NHL Draft by the Vancouver Canucks Team. Younger brother Luke plays in the junior leagues. Their father, Jim, was the captain of the Providence College team. He was also an assistant coach at the Detroit Red Wings and Toronto Maple Leafs . Ellen's mother was engaged in lacrosse , football and hockey. She played for the US national hockey team and in 1992 won the silver medal at the World Championships. Introduced to the University of New Hampshire Hall of Fame. Uncle Marty played for the last time in the British Hockey League for Dundee Stars, and Teddy's cousin for the East Coast Hockey League team Manchester Monarks .
