Amazon Basin (Portuguese)
The river begins in the mountains of Serra do Jatapu in the area where the states of Amazonas , Para and Roraima converge, and flows to the southeast, forming the main part of the border between the states of Amazonas and Para. In the area of the settlement Nyamunda flows into the Amazon.
Cities on the river: Terra Santa , Faro and Juruti in the state of Para, Nyamund in the state of Amazonas.
