Jiri баeba ( Czech. Jiří Šejba , born July 22, 1962 , Pardubice ) is a former Czech hockey player . World champion in 1985, three-time champion of Czechoslovakia. He completed his hockey career in 2000.

Biography
Jiri Sheyba began his hockey career at the Tesla Pardubice club. In the Tesla, he became the champion of Czechoslovakia in 1987 and 1989. In the Czechoslovak League, he also played for the Dukla Jihlava team, with which he became champion in 1985. In 1990, he went overseas, where he spent 11 games in the NHL for the Buffalo Sabers . Sheyba also performed in Finland , Germany and Slovakia . He ended his active career in 2000 as part of Pardubice.
In addition to clubs, he played for the national teams of Czechoslovakia and the Czech Republic . He became the world champion in 1985 and twice won the bronze medals of the world championship. The most striking match in the career of Jiri Sheyba was the game of the 1985 World Cup against the national team of Canada . The Czechoslovak team won 5: 3, won gold, and Sheyba made a hat-trick in that match, having thrown one of the pucks in the numerical minority after a solo pass [1] .
After the end of his playing career, he became a coach. He worked in teams: Pardubice (under 18 years old), Pardubice (main team), Czech junior team (assistant coach), Mlada Boleslav , SCS Tychy , since November 8, 2017, has been training the Polish club Uniya Auschwitz ". In 2005 he became the champion of the Czech Extra League as an assistant to the head coach of Pardubice. May 6, 2010 was admitted to the Czech Hockey Hall of Fame.
